The University of Gdansk Institute of Psychology in association with the Society for the Study of Motivation invites you to submit proposals for SYMPOSIA, ORAL PRESENTATIONS and POSTERS to be presented at a conference entitled Motivation, Self- Regulation and Gender: Perspectives and Applications. The conference will be held on 3rd - 5th June 2010 at Sopot Hotels Area and Social Sciences Faculty in Gdansk, Poland. Keynote speakers will be Professor Roy Baumeister, Professor Julius Kuhl, Professor Laurie Rudman, Professor Ralph Piedmont and Professor Bogdan Wojciszke with special attendance of President Lech Walesa.

This special conference will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the University of Gdansk, the 35th anniversary of Psychology as a subject of study at the University, and the 20th anniversary of Psychology becoming a part of University's Social Sciences Faculty.

The mission of the conference is to encourage broad inquiry into all aspects of motivation, self-regulation and gender and to facilitate the dissemination of findings to a broad scientific audience. The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of scientific information, foster discussion of new ideas and findings on motivation, self-regulation and gender issues, and encourage exchange and collaboration in research.
